Welcome! The Little Painter is a short 3D Animated Film by animator and director Kenny Roy. The film is about about a little painter named Pierre who is sent by the King to paint a portrait of a princess in a far away castle, but little Pierre falls hopelessly in love instead.

Written, Produced, and Directed by Animation Veteran Kenny Roy, The Little Painter started its journey one night as a dream, and blossomed into a Kickstarter Campaign (link) that launched on March 5th, 2012.

Kenny began the first 24 hours of his campaign with a Livestream event illustrating his passion for animation and his enthusiasm for the project. (24 Hour replay) Hundreds watched that day as he animated a scene from the film -start to finish- for 24 hours straight, and over 250 enthusiasts backed The Little Painter in that time span. By April 4, 2012, the film was successfully funded with 170% of the initial funding goal and left many people excited about the launch of production.

The film has commenced production, and is expected to be finished in time for the 2013 ACM SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival submissions around February 2013. Artists of all levels and expertise are welcome to use the Artist Application Form (link) in order to be considered for production.
